Gobble Gobble!!!

This picture was taken shortly after dinner. Atleast I got Tommy to be in it and smile.

Lizzy was a great help this year. Since we didn't go to Grandma's house I decided to put her in charge of the Pumpkin Pie. She did a great job from start to finish.

We got the kids Cars for a Thanksgiving gift,
you can see Tommy's excitement for it. It's a great movie. We actually got to see it when we were in Texas this summer. They enjoyed watching it with dad since he was in Dutch when we were in Texas. So we got to smell Lizzy's pie bake as we watched the movie. Sorry about the cats eyes glowing above Lizzy on the couch. When I first looked at this picture it kinda freaked me out until I realized it was the cat. I guess when you have a black cat pictures like this are bound to happen.

Well we hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. We missed not being in Ketchikan or with any family members for that matter. But were thankful to have each other. We love and miss everyone.

Hi, Rileys!
Hope your first Thanksgiving spent with the four of you will actually turn out to be a favorite memory in the years to come. These first holidays in new places are kind of different, aren't they? Congratulations on the pie, Lizzy! Wendy, thanks for posting the family pics and those around Dutch Harbor.

Happy Thanksgiving Rileys!
You look like you all had a great day, and Lizzy's pie turned out great! We really liked the Cars movie too, we saw it at the theaters and then bought it when it came out on DVD. Thanks for sharing your memories with us.

Great to see you guys together doing Thanksgiving. How are things going for Chris at the job? What kind of heating do you guys have? Where is your water supply? How about your local source of electricity? Just curious about how things work up that way. (Hey, only 2 Years and about 10 months till you come home.)

Hi everyone. Thanks for checking in with us. Thanks for Lizzy's pie comments. We did have a good day for our first holiday all by ourselves.
Ken as for your questions....Chris is liking his job, it's the slow season right now so he would like to be a bit busier. Our water comes from a lake they dammed up. From what we hear there has been no shortage of it so that is good to know. Electricity is
all generator power we hear it is expensive. It is included in our rent. They are trying to come up with other means for more I've heard they have shortages in the winter. I pray for no rolling blackouts. It shall be an interesting first winter. We just filled up the car $3.14 I think it was closer to $3.50 when we first got here. Glad I don't put in to many miles. Although we went for a nice drive this afternoon 22miles in about 2 hours. Not very fast driving. I will have pics up soon we got to see the horses again so that was exciting.
