Snow???
Well last week(11.17) we got just a bit of snow. We thought we were going to get a good snow storm but I think it all went to Ketchikan. They kept calling for snow but all we got were some high winds. The kids went outside to play in the snow and it was gusting to around 60mph. We thought they were crazy but when your a kid you cant pass up playing in the snow. The picture of the kids on the hill is along our house so if we get some good snow fall they will have a fun place to slide. I figured they wouldn't last 15 minutes but they were out their for over an hour. I had hot cocoa waiting for them when they came inside. We don't have any snow in the forecast but with a long weekend coming up were hoping for some. It definitely doesn't rain nearly as much here as back home. But that is not a complaint just a statement. haha.

Talk about commitment! Looks like hard work to make that sled slide! I'm glad they had fun, though. :) Hope you get more snow soon. We did get some good snow for a few days, but it partially melted, then it froze and now it's crunchy everywhere! I think the Bensons have it the best for sledding right now.
We are definitely enjoying our snowfall here on the other island! The snow in Thorne
Bay itself is very crunchy, but higher up in elevation it is very nice for sledding. Its great to see that your kids are enjoying whatever snow you receive! And it would be nice to be able to play in the wind without fear of falling branches or trees! The one thing that is getting everybody here though, is that it isn't even officially winter until December 21st! We hope you get more snow this weekend. We just got everything dug out on the roads though, so I don't think we are going to be hoping for more snow any time soon!

Thanks for checking in with us. The blog has been fun for sure for us to see everyone and to share. Yeah Becky they sure have commitment when it comes to snow, if only they showed it when it came to cleaning thier rooms. lol. Wow Benson Family sounds like winter is setting in, snow is always fun when your a kid, its the shoveling for us adults that isn't so much fun. And yes the wind can be fun to play in and it's nice not to have to worry about trees falling on the house too. Happy Thanksgiving.
